CAPE COAST, Ghana —
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has donated 100 streetlights to the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly (CCMA) in support of the ongoing “Light up the Corridors of Cape Coast” initiative.

The donation was officially made when Mr. Emmanuel Lumor, ECG’s Regional Manager, and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. George Justice Arthur. The gesture fulfills a promise made by Mr. Lumor during a previous visit to the ECG Regional office.
Receiving the donation, Hon. Arthur expressed his sincere gratitude to ECG for their commitment to community development and pledged that the streetlights would be installed and used for their intended purpose of improving safety and visibility across key areas in the municipality.
The “Light up the Corridors of Cape Coast” project is aimed at enhancing security, promoting economic activity, and beautifying the city through improved street lighting.
